Kimberley Fishing Charters

The Kimberley is one of the last true fishing frontiers and the crew aboard Hyland-C have been exploring the region fishing new locations, trying new techniques and targeting new species to come up with a range of Kimberley Charters that truly show what frontier fishing is all about.

And as a bonus you get to explore the sights and sounds of the Kimberley, the waterfalls, towering escapement cliffs, whales, bird life, aboriginal rock paintings and much much more.

The Fishing

From Barramundi, Mangrove Jacks & Threadfin Salmon in the estauries to Golden Snapper, Black Jew Fish & Coral Trout on the Reefs to Big GT's, Queenfish, Spanish Makerel, Marlin & Sailfish. All of this and more is available on one of these charters.

The Crew on Hyland-C have found a new Sailfish and Marlin fishery with regular multiple hookups and great success chasing these billfish. This new location is now included in some of the itineraries.

Mothership

Saloon & Galley
Spacious, comfortable, air conditioned saloon with, TV, stereo, DVD, VHS, satellite phone, laptop and multiple power points for 240V appliances. Fully equipped galley with household style fridges, freezers, stove, oven & microwave.

Front Cabin
Air conditioned accommodation for up to 8 people on single bunks with TV, DVD & Playstation 2.

Rear Cabin
Air conditioned accommodation with 1 double & 3 single bunks, each with it’s own reading light.

Deck
The spacious walk-around deck has ample shade and provides plenty of room for fishing, relaxing, BBQ’s and – most importantly – a giant esky! The toilet & shower is also located here plus a gate and large duckboard which provide easy access to the dinghy’s.

Dinghy's
1 x Quintrex 4.8m Top Ender with a 4 stroke, 80hp Yamaha outboard. She sports all the latest technology with a Humminbird sounder, Garmin GPS & GME VHF radio. Other features include swivel seats, drink holders, rod racks, canopy, positive floatation & under floor esky. Of course she also has all the necessary safety gear & first aid supplies including an EPIRB.

1x 4.55m Quintrex Top Ender with a brand new 4 stroke, 60hp Yamaha outboard. Also sporting the latest technology with a Humminbird GPS/Sounder, GME VHF radio & CD player she’s a great, comfortable boat to fish from. Other features include swivel seats, canopy, rod racks, all safety gear and first aid supplies

Fishing Equipment

All fishing equipment and tackle is supplied on a replace if lost or broken basis.  You may bring your own fishing equipment if you wish, as long as fishing rods are packed in a light weight cylinder, less than 2 meters in length.
