Remote Vanderlin Island Sport Fishing Adventure
 Situated
in the Gulf of Carpentaria on an Aboriginal owned island this adventure
offers you one of the most spectacular and remote fishing locations imaginable.
Experience some unbelievable light game fishing for species such as Barramundi,
Queenfish, Giant Trevally (GT's), Barracutta, Mackerel, Red Emperor and
Salmon.
These are just some of the 26 species available.
Location
 Vanderlin
Island, in the Gulf of Carpentaria.
Getting there
Drive: Your guide will collect you from your accommodation
in Darwin at the pre-arranged time. You will have an approximate 10-hour
scenic drive to Borroloola. The boat will be launched at King Ash Bay.
You will have an approximate 2 hour trip by boat to Vanderlin Island.
Fly: You will be met at your accommodation at the pre-arranged
time by a Private Hire Car, who will transfer you to the Darwin Airport
where you will board your chartered flight for a 1 hour 45 minute flight
to Borroloola. Your guide will meet you at the airport to transfer you
to King Ash Bay on the McArthur River. You will depart by boat for your
island destination approx 2 hours away.
The Camp
A very comfortable permanent camp with fresh water, 240 volt power,
hot and cold showers and toilet are situated beach side on the island.
Meals
 Just
because you are in the middle of no where doesn't mean you have to miss
out on a good feed. Seafood is always on offer and you will also be treated
to great BBQ and home style meals.
Target Species
Species include Barramundi, Queenfish, Trevally, Barracutta, Mackeral,
Red Emperor, Coral Trout, Golden Snapper and Mangrove Jack. These are
only some of the 26 species available.

Minimum 5 days.

Minimum of two is required. Larger groups can be catered for.
